Sayan is an Assistant Professor in the Information Technology Division at Maejo University in Chiangmai, Thailand. He graduated in Computer Science from Maejo University, Chiangmai, Thailand (1996 - 1999). He obtained the MSc degree in Computer Science from Chiangmai University, Chiangmai, Thailand (2000 - 2003). He worked as a temporary lecturer in Computer Science Department at Maejo University (2003-2004). Then, he worked as a lecturer in the Information Technology Division at Maejo University (since 2004). He obtained the PhD degree in the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at the University of Queensland, Australia (2011-2015).

Sayan's major areas of research interests and expertise include : Social Networks Analysis, Data Mining and Database Systems.
